GUIDELINES FOR APPLICANTS

We recruit violinists, violists, cellists, pianists and composers

Send the application form to  opus@opuscorp.org
Applicants for composition should send us the scores and recorded material (live performance or midi files of Finale or Sibelius)

Faculty

Violin  

So-ock Kim The youngest winner of the gold medal in the prestigious Shell/LSO Competition. International performances with the Philharmonia Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic, Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France etc. Professor at the Royal Academy of Music in London.

Dami Kim A laureate at the International Queen Elisabeth Competition, the First prize in the Joseph Joachim International Violin Competition in Hanover. Awarded further prizes in the Premio Paganini International Violin Competition and the prize for the best interpretation of a Paganini Caprice.

Hanna Lee  violist of the Kallaci String Quartet, a top prize winner in a’s Haydn Competition, the Midland-Odessa Symphony’s National Young Artist Competition, and the Springfield Symphony Orchestra’s Hellam Young Artist’s Competition

Kyoung-ock Park Jury member of International Johannes Brahms Competition, Professor at the Kirishima International Music Festival and Hanyang University.
Min-ji Kim member of Ensemble OPUS, Kumho Asiana Soloist and the Kumho Chamber Music Society, professor at Kye Myung University, grand prix at the Hudson Valley String Competition

Won-sook Hur the first prize in the Valsesia International Piano Competition, and prizes in G.B.Viotti, Ettore Pozzoli and Città di Marsala. Professor at Hoseo University

Kyu Yeon Kim First Prize in the Gina Bachauer International Young Artists Piano Competition in 2001, Second Prize, Concerto Prize and Mozart Prize in the AXA Dublin International Piano Competition in 2006, fourth Prize and Mozart Prize in the Cleveland International Piano Competition in 2011, A member of New York Concert Artists and Associates

Composition

Jeajoon Ryu studied composition under Krzysztof Penderecki at Krakow Music Academy and under Kang, Suk-hi at Seoul National University. 2010 Guest Composer for Nantalii Music Festival(Finland) and Mecklenburg Music Festival(Germany).  2011-2012 Composer in Residence in Gorzow Philharmonic Orchestra in Poland.
